so, what have i been up to?
hey! sorry for not writing much on my website,
things have been getting quite busy with tests n' all happening, but
it'd be nice to write something here every once in a while so i figured
why not show off a few things i've been working on lately?
first, here's this work in progress zombie guy i textured. he's for a little
project called
Libre-Quake,
which is basically quake's
FreeDoom.
i've went through a couple of revisions of this guy in the past already but i think
this one will be the best one out of the bunch.
anyways, onto the second thing i've done: a reskin of the half-life headcrab. i did this for fun as
texturing practice, and in my opinion i think he turned out pretty good!
if you wanna play Half-Life with this... thing... then here's a
link
to it.
now, here's the third thing i've made: a simple hand model.
this one's for something that i hope will get off the ground soon...
what's next? + ramblings
hopefully sometime soon i can work on adding more content to this website, because right now
it's pretty darn barren. reasons for my website being empty include me redoing the same graphic
over and over again, the feeling of barely having anything to show, and random boosts of motivation
coming back randomly.
Also I need to get those Quake mods out there soon,
because I kinda wanna stop making Quake mods soon in favour of Half-Life mods.. Half-Life mods let you do Waaay more with the
gamecode, with almost everything from huds, weapons, and monster ai being editable within the game DLL,
while Quake on the other hand only lets you do so much. like in quake you can do weapons and monster ai if you try hard enough, but
if you wanna do stuff like huds in Quake you'll have to use Client Side QuakeC (CSQC), which is not part of vanilla Quake
and has not been adopted by many source ports, with exceptions being.. ah what the heck i forgot...
